Are Short-Stay Apartments in Cape Town really value for money?

Is it better to book a short city-stay in an apartment in Cape Town rather than at a full-service hotel? We don’t know the answer, but we do know a lot of reasons why it’s better to book with InnsCape Classic – a full-service hotel – with all the amenities one could want for a Cape Town city stay.

At InnsCape Classic, all our guests get the benefit of an apartment-sized hotel room with a separate bathroom and all of the amenities you could want for your city stay. We even have two large apartments with kitchenettes if you want to have all the benefits of staying in a hotel environment without the hassle of renting an apartment.  We take great pride in knowing that:

  • The price you see on our website is the price you pay for what’s advertised. No hidden costs, no service fees, no cleaning fees, no booking fees…it’s all included in the price quoted. If you need help with your booking, our 24-hour reservations office will gladly assist you.
  • You won’t be expected to clean your room during your stay or be charged for cleaning; in fact, your room will be cleaned and fresh, clean towels will be provided every day if you want it that way. We’re not just providing a place to sleep where everything else that should be included is an “added extra”. We provide hospitality, not just a space.
  • You can enjoy a buffet breakfast without having to wash your own dishes. With a hotel, this is included in the price if your booking includes breakfast … that is true “B” and “B”, no airy promises with us. Second helping before starting the day? No problem!
  • The internet and Wi-Fi are free, fast and reliable. We don’t require you to buy a connectivity voucher or go to a public area to get unreliable wireless internet access.
  • 24-hour reception and security are all part of our daily business. Your safety and comfort are our priority. We actually care about your welfare while you are staying with us. Ever tried to have something in your room repaired, e.g. a light bulb that needs replacement, while staying in a short-stay apartment? Our maintenance team are available throughout the day.

The cost of renting a short-stay apartment may sometimes seem like reasonable value for money when you see an advertised daily rate that suits your pocket. But have you ever tried booking an apartment for that exact rate? You’ve probably discovered that the rate you see is not what you are expected to pay…most times the advertised rate excludes many additional costs and charges that can make the advertised rate much higher than advertised! Additional cleaning fees, service fees, booking fees, high deposits and onerous cancellation fees are just some of the additional costs that are generally not disclosed until late in the apartment booking process.

And what are you really paying for when renting a short-stay apartment? Have you ever asked yourself if you are insured if something bad, hopefully not, were to happen while you are staying in a short-stay apartment? Is there public liability insurance in the event of an accident? Is the apartment compliant with fire and other regulations? When last was the apartment cleaned properly, not just a superficial wipe-over before the next short-term resident arrives, but an in-depth cleaning process? Are there regular pest control treatments? Is there someone to contact if you need help urgently or otherwise? Positive answers to these questions are not guaranteed most of the time when staying in a short-stay apartment.

So come and stay with us, we’re likely to be more reasonably priced than any apartment provider and you’ll get much, much more for your money…!
