Cape Town Cycle Tour 2026

The Cape Town Cycle Tour is South Africa’s leading mass participation cycling event, taking riders on an unforgettable journey around the iconic Cape Peninsula. The flagship 109km route offers a fully vehicle-free experience, allowing cyclists to enjoy open roads, enthusiastic spectator support, and breathtaking coastal views — including the legendary Chapman’s Peak stretch.

Each year, approximately 30,000 riders take part across multiple race categories. In addition to the 109km main event starting at the Grand Parade, the 78km Invitational Women’s Race and U17 Boys Race begin in Fish Hoek and finish in Green Point. A scenic 42km route also starts at the Grand Parade, guiding cyclists through the Southern Suburbs before returning to the city centre.

More than just a race, the Cape Town Cycle Tour is a bucket-list ride and a spectacular celebration of cycling in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
