A beloved Cape Town summer institution, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts kick off their season on the rolling lawns of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, just minutes from the city bowl. Every Sunday afternoon, thousands of locals and tourists gather with picnic blankets and local wine to watch top South African bands, orchestral performances, and international guest artists perform live on an open-air stage set against the dramatic eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
